Learn How to Use Your Sewing Machine

  • Faye Wilds Creative Studio 850 Main Street Lewiston, ME 04240 United States (map)

Have you bought a sewing machine or had someone buy one for you? Have you had good intentions of learning to sew? Then this class is for you.

This particular class is for non-computerized machines. If it has a digital panel, this is not the right class.

The class is designed for beginners who have never sewn before or have not for quite some time. We will go over the basics, such as threading your machine, how the machine works, the parts of the machine in case you run into trouble, and more. Material will be provided for practice stitching; bring your own machine if you like. However, a couple of machines will be available for people who do not yet have one.

This will be an open forum for questions, guidance, and personalized help.

This site is not handicap accessible. There is a lift to put wheelchairs or walkers on, but it is not for human use. There is a flight of stairs to climb to get to the studio. Service animals are allowed. By registering for the class, you are acknowledging that you are aware of the handicap restrictions.

Limit 10 people. When the class sells out, and you weren’t able to get in, contact me, and I may set up another class depending on demand.

Cost $30.00 non-refundable. Since it is Maine and winter time, if the class is cancelled due to snow, it will be rescheduled, or you can join another existing class.

Directions:

When you arrive, we are located down the left side of the building, 2nd door with a black awning. Follow the blue line upstairs to Faye Wilds Creative Studio.
